Republican candidate for governor in New Jersey, Jack Ciattarelli, not unexpectedly conceded to one of the most disliked politicians in the US. We knew he would.
We knew a couple of days ago that New Jersey Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli had no chance in salvaging his stolen election. We knew this because he hired an attorney who was never going to fight for him. And we knew this because his attorney was fighting against Rudi Giuliani rather than the disgusting corrupt Democrats in New Jersey.
Republican Jack Ciattarelli conceded defeat to Democrat Phil Murphy in the New Jersey governor’s race on Friday, 10 days after the end of an election campaign in which he narrowed a wide lead enjoyed by the incumbent.
The 59-year-old former state lawmaker had campaigned against high taxes and sought to label Murphy, a wealthy former Goldman Sachs executive, as out of touch.
Ciattarelli’s attorney predictably did not want to get into voting machine issues from the election:
He also didn’t want to dig into the 40,000 votes for Murphy added on election night after the state’s largest county claimed it was 100% reported the night before.
Murphy was a horrible candidate and not liked after his response to COVID and sending COVID patients into nursing homes leading to thousands of deaths in the state. But if you’re not willing to fight corrupt politicians you will lose. It’s automatic no matter how hated a Democrat governor is (i.e. see Newsom in California).
The people of New Jersey know who won the election. Unfortunately, the Republicans and their candidate had no idea.
