Checking the ‘fact checkers.’ Associated Press openly promotes false narrative

According to its mission statement, The Associated Press is “an independent global news organization dedicated to factual reporting. Founded in 1846, AP today remains the most trusted source of fast, accurate, unbiased news in all formats and the essential provider of the technology and services vital to the news business.”

The overwhelming majority of the written and printed “news” you see every day comes from the AP. You’re likely very familiar with the “(AP)” that precedes its content. “WASHINGTON, DC (AP)

More than half the world’s population sees AP journalism every day.

This is the reason for Americans to be extremely concerned about what is being presented online as “fact” buy one of the worlds primary news distributors.

Lets review some of the key claims the AP is promoting as “FACTS:”

January 20, 2021:

AP FACT CHECK: Trump’s fiction in his goodbye to Washington

By HOPE YEN, CHRISTOPHER RUGABER and CALVIN WOODWARD

WASHINGTON (AP) — In his final remarks as president, Donald Trump tried to take credit for accomplishments of his predecessor and even those to come under President Joe Biden.

🇺🇸 Common Sense Check:

That’s right my fellow American; Donald Trump cannot take credit for anything that occurs while Joe Biden is an office. Not even if the event is the direct result of Trump‘s policies. Apparently the Principal of Causation no longer applies in America

🇺🇸 Think about that for a minute. Let’s say John’s wife gifted him a rare collectible coin last Christmas. Later this year, John is delighted to find out that his coin has appraised for 10 times the amount John’s wife paid. Who is most responsible for John’s newfound cash windfall?

They continue: (AP) Falsehoods suffused his farewell remarks Wednesday morning and the night before, though he was spot on with this: “We were not a regular administration.”

TRUMP, boasting of his accomplishments for the U.S.: “Again, we put it in a position like it’s never been before, despite the worst plague to hit since I’d guess you say 1917, over a 100 years ago.” — remarks Wednesday before leaving Washington.

THE FACTS: He got the year wrong for the Spanish flu that hit in 1918 and completely ignored the role his handling of the coronavirus pandemic played in the surging infections and deaths that beset the nation.

🇺🇸Fake News Check:

Even the mainstream pollsters agree that 65% of Americans can’t name the three branches of government. Are we really supposed to believe the writer didn’t have to “Google it” to get the year correct? Trump was going off script. President or not, if you’ve memorized the lineage of every world health crisis , congratulations, you’re not Human.

🇺🇸 The Washington Post again was the source of another bogus claim when they reported that intelligence agencies warned about a possible pandemic back in January and February and that Trump “failed to take action that might have slowed the spread of the pathogen.”

🇺🇸 Total fake news. The Trump administration had begun aggressively addressing the coronavirus threat immediately after China reported the discovery of the coronavirus to the World Health Organization. In addition to implementing various precautionary travel restrictions, the administration fast-tracked the use of testing kits, set up a Coronavirus Task Force, and implemented a travel ban with China, several weeks before WHO declared the coronavirus a pandemic.

In actuality, it was Trump’s critics who weren’t taking the coronavirus situation seriously. Joe Biden even accused Trump of “fearmongering” and “xenophobia” for his travel ban. Even now, the Washington Post is suggesting the travel ban wasn’t enough.

🇺🇸 The media claims , Trump didn’t act quickly enough and botchedl the government response. Joe Biden has tried to perpetuate this falsehood by giving press briefings telling Trump what he should be doing.

🇺🇸 The big problem with that is that when Biden has offered his own plan, he simply took things that Trump had already done, said he should do those things, and pretended they were his own ideas.

🇺🇸In addition to this, one of the most significant actions taken by Trump, the travel ban with China, was actually opposed by Joe Biden, and Trump’s critics on the left. Unfortunately for them, WHO experts admitted Trump’s actions saved lives in the United States.
